This book is the third in the translation series of ?Nit Nem? ? the daily Sikh prayers. The Jap Sahib, Swayas and the first section of the Ardas are the compositions of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. These are recited by Sikhs in the morning along with the Japji Sahib of the first Guru Nanak Dev ji. As these Banis or Spiritual poetry are not in Punjabi, the present day readers find them difficult to understand. After his first two books in the translation series, Dr. Kapoor felt a rising interest amongst the Sikh youth to know more about their religion and their identity. This prompted him to produce this third book. He has tried his best to give the readers the meaning of all the words that are not in Punjabi along with the theme and the summary of the hymns; thus conveying the literal meaning as well as the essence of prayer.
